Any photo or video can be saved online for free using Google's image management and storage facility 'Google Photos'. Not only that, it is possible to automatically create videos with saved images. Google is going to change the user interface (UI) of the Google Photos app to make it easier to use than the current one. Apart from making changes to the app's search bar, the name of the library option will also be changed to 'Collections', the company said.

According to Google, the functionality of the new user interface is currently being tested. If all goes well, the user interface will be added to the new version of the Google Photos app. In the new-look Google Photos, the Library option will be renamed to Collections. The Collections icon will remain the same as the Library icon despite the name change. After entering Collections, 'Favorites', 'Trash', 'Screenshots', 'Archive' options will appear at the top. As a result, the app can be used faster and easier than at present.

Google Photos' 'On This Device' option will also undergo major changes. As a result of this change, the gallery of the smartphone can be accessed more easily from the On This Device option than at present. Apart from this, images can be easily found through 'Last Modified', 'Album Title' and 'Recent Photo' options.

In addition to the collections, Google said that the search option will also change. As a result, users will automatically get suggestions for recently searched keywords, screenshots, selfies, etc. from the search option. As a result, images or videos can be found faster than at present.
